DESIGN INTENT AND IDEA
A Smart central public library acting as a central plaza with the building elevated from the ground allowing our site to connect between the surrounding landplots. The building is a smooth folded skin fitted in the context through a reflective demorphed paper to provide better views and access points for the users.
Introduction
The structural solution adopted is based on experience gained on many similar projects. The suggested sequence of construction has been developed to follow familiar tried and tested techniques used on many projects. The suggested sequence of construction is within the scope. The document is intended to show how the design issues have been addressed and how these relate to or influence the construction of the proposed building. Description of project
The idea is to introduce a smart central public library that acts as a central plaza for the locals. The building is elevated from the ground, allowing landscape continuity between the site and the surrounding land plots. The ground floor of the building introduces public activities for the locals, providing them with an open amphitheater, book café, digital reading facilities and a community space.
