Year: 2022

Location: Hurghada Marina – Egypt

Plot Area: 22,368 m2
Architecture Consultant: CUBE Consultants

Project Description:

The development area is the old marina, which is bordered on one side by the Montillon Grand Horizon Beach Resort and on the other by a military dock and shipyard.

The site is in a unique location because it is only 10 minutes from the airport, has direct and visual contact with the islands of Giftun and Mahmya, and may easily be used as a tourist port for those islands.

The port has a lot of potential to become one of the most major centers for marine tourism and excursions, as well as added activities like entertainment, bazaars, stores, and food courts, once it is cleaned up of shipwrecks and ancient structures.

For as long as it has existed, the marina has suffered from inadequate resource management and has been utilized as a dumpster for shipwrecks, generating little revenue for the city.

It is now proposed to develop the marina and re-establish it as a tourism and entertainment destination in Hurghada.

Project Vision:

The purpose was to make the most of what was already there, whether it was buildings or platforms, and extend them to the point where the area could accommodate a whole new range of tourist and commercial activities.

The idea is to transform the marina into one of Hurghada’s most unique places. It would increase the city’s worth and be an ideal location for a new and distinctive form of investment in a densely populated area.

Multiple services were injected into the project to greatly increase its value, so we added things like a boat-service shipyard and accessories/parts showroom, food courts, bazaars, shops, tourism agencies and offices for marine excursions, anchored platforms for divers and snorkelers, tracking systems for boats, buoys and beacons for guidance, boat docking lanes along all docks for waste drainage and refueling, bicycle stations, golf cart stations, sailing, boating and other water sports.

All of this is handled via cutting-edge technology for employees and clients, including RFID smart chip bracelets for all project payments, finger print management systems, and the utilization of solar energy to power the entire project.
